Suzy is a very pretty 5-year-old black Walking Horse mare. She stands at 15.2 hands tall. Suzy is very friendly, gentle and a very smart mare and loves attention from people. She stands to be groomed and bathed and is great for vet and farrier.

Suzy has been here with us for a few years now and has raised a beautiful little daughter Indy May. Suzy was never broke to ride so after we weaned Indy May off of her, we started her under saddle. Suzy has now been riding since fall of 2023. We start all our horses out the gentle way and without a bit and then get them used to a full bridle. Suzy is therefore very responsive.

Suzy is a fun ride for any rider wanting to cover some ground and ride the trails. Suzy will go all day long and there is not a thing she won’t do out there. She has not shown to be afraid of anything we brought to her attention such as dogs, cars, tractors, atvs, tarps, balls, umbrellas, poles, cattle, chainsaws, excavators… you name it.

She will go out alone or with others. You won’t have to ask her twice to go anywhere, just point her. She knows her job. Suzy will go across fields with cattle, up and down hills, passed machinery, through water and down steep ravines without batting an eye.

Suzy will also ride in the ring and her gaits are very comfortable to sit to and she rides off your leg easily and is easy to steer. She will ride bareback, in just a halter, a horse to have fun with all around.

Suzy is overall a very respectful and well-behaved horse. She is willing to do anything she is asked and loves her routine and rides with her human. Her sweet personality will make her bond easily to her new owner and she would make a great addition to any trail riding family. Suzy will stand tied all day if you ask her to and she stands to mount at the mounting block for you to mount as well. She is easy to load up on the trailer and she can’t wait to come home to you.
