Frequently asked questions
What is a Shetland Pony?
The Shetland Pony is a small, strong breed of horse that originated in the Shetland Islands off the coast of Scotland. It is known for its good temperment and hardy nature, as well as its small size (averaging between 10 and 11 hands high) which makes it ideal for children or people who don't want a full-sized horse. They can be used for riding, driving, light work, showing and much more. They are available in many colors including gray, chestnut, black, bay, roan and dun.
