Hazel is a very pretty and solid 4 year old Appendix Quarter Horse grade mare. She stands at 15.2 hands. Hazel is one of the most gentle and easy to ride horses we have ever owned. She is very friendly and gentle for anyone including kids or newer horse owners. She is used to being around many different animals and loves attention from people. She stands to be groomed and tacked and is great for vet and farrier.

Hazel is a fun ride for any level rider and will take care of you if you are still learning. She is as safe as horse can get and has not shown to be afraid of anything we brought to her attention such as dogs, cars, tractors, atvs, tarps, balls, umbrellas, poles, cattle, chainsaws… you name it. She is a very kind, honest and trusting horse with a great disposition.

Hazel has a lot of potential in the ring Western or English. She has an elegant flashy stride, and her gaits are steady with an easy to sit-to canter. She moves off your leg easily and is willing to go to work, but she is more of a push-to-go ride and you won’t have to hold her back. Hazel is extremely easy to steer and would make an excellent lesson horse prospect or new-horse-owner mount. She will safely take you over poles and x-rails as you maneuver her around the ring. Hazel is exceptionally easy to get on and off of. She will stand until asked to move. You can park her by the mounting block and walk away and she won’t move unless asked. She also rides the same whether you ride her daily or let her sit, which is hard to find in a young horse.

Hazel also loves to trail ride and rides just as quiet out in the country as she does in the ring. She will go out alone or with others. Hazel will go wherever you point her, across fields with cattle, up and down hills, passed machinery, through water… without batting an eye. Lastly, Hazel just loves to spend time with her human and if you like to go riding your side-by-side around your property, she loves to go with for a stroll and walk or jog alongside of you. Just a fun horse to be around no matter what you do together.
