Warrior is a 3 yr old Brabant x Shire stallion. Bay roan and a big boy. Currently 15.2 and growing. Sire was 17h dam was 16.1. I really like this cross as it’s a bit more lighter than my full blooded Brabant. He will cross super nice on lighter horses. I currently have 7 mares confirmed for 2023 foals by him. He does great in a mixed herd! Geldings and mares. Bully geldings will push him around so I keep him with more passive geldings. He’s out with mares and only been pasture bred. He is out with foals that are not his and he is a total gentleman.
Warrior has been imprinted since birth and has always been handled. He’s super smart and is easy to handle by anyone who has horse experience. He lunges, loads, leads, ties, loves being groomed, he is great at liberty work in the round pen. He ground drives nice and is very willing. He has had 3 rides in the round pen and needs more work before I personally I would take him out into the wild open. Walk, trot, canter, stop, back up, steers. Has not offered one buck or rear. Still wiggles around at first for the saddle. Could be me. I have to toss my 50# saddle above my head to get it on him. Lol. He’s young and he still has a mind of his own. Warrior is very soft. He is the type of stallion I feel very comfortable around. He walks right up to you in the pasture. He can be tied next to other horses at the hitching post and have lead kids around on him and he hardly notices.
Up to date on all cares including an open HC for the next 3 weeks. Teeth were just floated and wolf teeth pulled.
