Best suited for an advanced rider or trainer who will continue to work on his training. Last Fall he had a 30 day tune up with a trainer who took him on trails and to an event where he was trotted through barrels and did well. He probably needs another tune up after sitting all winter. He is not spooky. He is forward and doesn't like to dilly dally on the trails. He's an easy keeper, does fine barefoot, and has no health issues. He did have a hoof abcess and sore hind suspensories in 2021 from the weather and being worked too hard too quickly, but all that has resolved. He stands well for the farrier. He trailer loads well. Once he trusts you, he can be quite a love bug. He needs someone who rides with their seat and legs and has time to consistently work him. He has acted up a few times in the past when the rider has gotten too domineering and used sudden heavy pressure after long periods of not being worked. He needs a confident, patient, and experienced horse person who has time for him, in order to meet his potential. I'm selling him because I don't have time to work with him the way that he needs and there are things that I don't know how to teach him as I'm a novice rider.
