Maverick’s Taxi Ride is truly one of a kind! Gentle, Sweet, Friendly and Patient. BEAUTIFUL with a big HEART and willing to do whatever you ask of him. We bought him directly from the breeder and have put him through all aspects of our our training program . He is double registered with TWHBEA and SSHBEA and a gorgeous Bay Tobiano with world champion bloodlines on his papers. Standing 14’3 he’s good boned and stout built to carry any size rider all day long. He’s been hauled and ridden is all over the mountains of Montana to the forests of the Midwest. Taxi is experienced with long days on the trail, with all kinds of wildlife. He’s been through all types of terrain from prairies, to mountains and arenas too. Taxi is also seasoned with gunshots, dogs running around, loud noises, machinery and traffic. Taxi has a solid foundation of ground work and arena riding. He will flex, move off leg pressure pick up his shoulders and is very light and responsive. Taxi is very SOFT with a lot of feel while riding or doing ground work. He rides in everything from a D-ring snaffle to a curb bit, halter, neck rope, and even guides by lightly asking with your fingertips on his neck. He walks quietly, gaits, and steps right up into a balanced lope all on a loose flowy rein. Responsive to light leg or hand cues and will stop and back just using your seat and legs. We’ve had alot of fun riding him BAREBACK and BRIDLELESS .Taxi stands perfectly to mount and moves over to stump, tailgate or anything you find to make it easy for you to get on. He has a great neckrein, sidepasses, stops, backs and is always very controllable. His gait is SO SMOOTH and comfortable you will never want to stop. He has excellent transitions between gaits and will go whatever speed you ask from a slow walk, to an easy going enjoyable gait and step right up into a collected lope. Taxi is a SOLID trail horse. He doesn’t get in a hurry, and goes up, down over and through whatever you point him at. On steep hills he is like a 4 wheeler, no rush in rough areas and knows how to pick his way through big rocks and over downed trees definitely SUREFOOTED. Always CONFIDENT and self assured when others come and go . We’ve swung a rope off him and drug logs, barrels and used him to pony other horses and mules. He is good with dogs, water, guns, bridges, machinery, traffic, tarps, flags, wildlife, umbrellas, bull whips and much much more. Taxi gets along with others out in the pasture and is always easy to catch. He perfect to saddle, bridle, and stands patiently for the farrier. He loads and hauls great. He’s excellent to wash and will stand quietly tied all day if you need to. Truly a PLEASURE to be around. Taxi is a SPECIAL and FUN horse .
